The cave in the western side of Tamás Hill was uncovered in 1894 and opened in 1934. It has significant natural and touristic value. The picturesque limestone layers from the Middle Trias were tilted over from their horizontal position by the forces which created the mountains. They hide the cave which had been formed by the warm water breaking out from the depth. The kettle-like solution forms and the peastones at some places refer to the forming conditions of the cave. Publications, souvenirs are available at the cave. A marked tourist route leads to the cave from Jókai look-out tower (green triangle) and from the railway station of Balatonfüred (green stripe).
