The centre of presenting the buffalo species indigenous in Hungary. It plays an important role in the preservation of this indigenous species and its genome. An interactive exhibition, telescopes, look-out spots, lay-bys, and a study trail presenting buffalos await visitors. In the visitor centre an exhibition presents the wildlife of Small Balaton. In the stable the old tools of buffalo keeping and photos of animal husbandry are displayed. The buffalos can be seen from spring to autumn by walking along the 1,5 km long study trail. There are 200 buffalos living in a 30ha territory. In winter the animals can be seen in the stable.
In the visitor centre publications, souvenirs and refreshments are available.
