The public building of the town used to house a butcher's shop on the ground floor and a school on the first floor, the midwife of the town used to live on this floor, too. Today the exhibition halls of the Sopron Museum can be found on the first foor with exhibitions of fine arts, local history, etnography alternately. The numismatic festival is held here biannually displaying the latest works of the contemporary numismatic art of Hungary and the awarded works of the festival.
