It was built in 1816 in neo-Classical style. It houses a library and the Károly Vécsey Memorial room.
Károly Vécsey, who was a general in the revolution of 1848-49, spent his childhood in this mansion. After the collapse of the revolution, his sentence to death was the gravest. He was the last one to be hanged in Arad on 6 October 1849, so he was forced to see all his companions die. Vécsey's death was an awful blow to his family, his father had a nervous breakdown and his deep mourning also hastened his death. The members of the Vécsey family moved away from Solt shortly afterwards.
