The nationally famous Vaszary Gallery houses temporary exhibitions of contemporary fine and applied arts. The permanent exhibition of Juan Gyenes, the world-famous photographer, who was born in Kaposvár, can also be seen here.
Juan Gyenes (1912 Kaposvár - 1995 Madrid) was the photographer of the Spanish royal court, a member of the Spanish Royal Fine Arts Academy, who donated his pictures to his town of birth. The collection includes portraits of well-known artists, scientists of the 20th century, photo compositions created for music. The exhibition can be visited at the Vaszary Gallery.
