Village with 1,700 inhabitants at the northern foot of the Bükk mountains in the valley of the Bán brook. It was first mentioned in the Váradi Regestrum in 1220. The Lázbérc storage-lake on the confines of the village, the Damasa ravine and Bodó Lake are popular beauty spots. Sights: the Baroque Platthy castle, the Baroque Roman Catholic church and the Calvinist church which was built on a foundation from the 18th century with painted coffered ceiling. The exhibition of local history in the Village Museum presents the past of the village.
