in Sénye:

Sénye is situated halfway between two popular baths, Kehidakustány and Zalaszentgrót. A dead-end village of 43 people hidden in the hills surrounding the narrow valley. It was first mentioned in records in 1340. Its glorious period was in the 1850s, when the population of the village was four times higher than today. Several German families settled down in the village, too, who soon became familiar with the life and traditions of the locals. The community can gather in the main hall of the community centre. The local council is planning to open a camping site in the pleasant garden of the community centre. A pottery workshop can be visited. Its most outstanding event is the village day held on the Sunday after Whitsun.
