in Siójut:   Hotel

Village with about 600 inhabitants 6 km from Lake Balaton. It bears the name of one of Arpad's sons. It was first mentioned in records in 1229. In 1378 Louis I the Great confirmed its rights to hold fairs. The Roman road, which forks at Fehérvár and runs to the south towards Ságvár and Pécs and crosses the Sió at Jut, was in use even in the Middle Ages. The mediaeval Jut was situated 1 km south-east of the present settlement. The population settled down in the present place after the Turkish occupation. There are possibilities of riding and angling in the village. It is a peaceful village. Ideal for lovers of village tourism.
