in Somogyvámos:   Sight

Small village with 800 inhabitants at the road between Fonyód and Kaposvár. It was mentioned in documents already in 1237. A 12th century Romanesque church can be found in the vicinity of the village. It is the one of the largest ruins of church in Somogy county. Other sight is the Indian Cultural Centre and Biofarm, which is the largest biofarm in the country. The aim of the centre, which is unique in Europe, is to make the natural life-style and spiritual-mental harmony based on the ancient culture known for people who are interested. Other sight is the collection of eggs embroidered with 'horseshoes' made by the mayor and world record winner, late László Hanzel.
