in Tiszalúc:   Sight

Village with almost 6,000 inhabitants in South-Zemplén at the meeting of Harangod and Takta region, at the backwaters of the river Tisza. It is a 'garrison' settlement. The harbour on the Tisza and the ferry made the village important so that György Rákóczi I., settled Heyducks here, and later it got the privileges of a Heyduck town. Traditional agriculture and the river determined everyday life. There are a lot of fishermen and anglers because the municipality and the local Anglers' Association own large water surface (90 ha). Three hunting associations also have interest on the boundaries of the village, as the area is rich in game. The Bük National Park also has interest here: bird watching association and Oecopark, etc.
