A little village of 224 inhabitants 10 km from Balatonlelle, between Látrány and Karád. Its written history goes back to 1229, when it was mentioned with the name of Wisch as the estate of the chapter of Székesfehérvár. During the Turkish occupation it consisted of 13 houses, but the Turks burnt down the village so the population fled. They rebuilt their houses to the south of the previous village. From the 1720s it was owned by several landowners. Now there are some nice pensions and an inn, so visitors can enjoy a pleasant holiday in beautiful surroundings with Csúcs-hegy hill and the nearby Lake Balaton. The village has become popular with foreign tourists. The hills and forests around the settlement attract many visitors.
