Other information:

Brennbergbánya was discovered in 1753 and became one of the most important coal mines of Hungary. Since 1791 the mine had been directed by the Coal Mine Company of Wienerneustadt. After 1945 the galleries were closed for political reasons. The exhibition is housed in the first power house of the mine and introduces the history of mining in Brennberg, the working conditions, the types of work, the lifestyle of the miners and the social issues related with mining.
