in Bőszénfa:   Hotel - Sight - Wellness, Spa - Business Travel

The typical village of the Zselic region, 15 km south of Kaposvár. It is probably one of the villages that King St. Stephen gave to the Abbey of Szentmárton. It was first mentioned in records under the name Bozais in 1237-1240 in a census-paper written by Albeus, the canon of Esztergom. At the beginning of the 1770s the landlord Lajos Festetics settled Swabian people in the village. There was a shocking period in the life of the village, when 70 families were deported from the village in 1940, in the place of whom 20 Hungarian families were settled from Upper Northern Hungary. The village with 4 streets shows renewal and beauty today. It has and may have good prospects in agriculture, game farming, wood industry and tourism.
