Village with 1,412 inhabitants 15 km southeast of Nagykanizsa. György
Iharos was endowed with the village called "Villa Beryn" at that time by
the wife of Béla IV, Queen Mária in 1268. Inkey mansion was built in 1750.
Its 10 ha park is the largest Arboretum in Somogy county. Owing to the
favourable climate, the village and its surroundings are famous for their
sweet chestnut trees.
