Village with 2,608 inhabitants north of the Velence Mountains. The former Cziráky mansion, one of the finest neo-Classical edifices in Hungary, dates back to an 18th century origin. The Roman Catholic church (1832-1834) was designed by József Hild in neo-Classical style. The oldest finds are the remains of the earthworks called Mihályvár from the Bronze Age.
