Village with 2,184 inhabitants 28 km north of Szeged. As tradition has it, "the affairs of the whole country were discussed" here by the leaders of conquesting Hungarian tribes, that is the first Hungarian diet took place at Pusztaszer. Árpád Monument erected in 1896. Remains of market-town Szer with clan church and monastery were found in this place. The exhibitions of the Memorial Park of National History include the Park with Ruins, Open-air Ethnographic Collection, Display of Agricultural Machines, Forests and People, Cyclorama by Feszty, Wax-works, Postal Museum.
