in Vigántpetend:  

Almost 700-year-old village at the former Roman military road, in the valley of Eger brook, which separates the Bakony and the Balaton highlands. Egervölgye is the cradle of cultures, today it is the worthily famous and visited place of the Valley of Arts. The village still preserves the characteristics of folk architecture and traditions. The old school is an educational centre of the protection of environment. The former farm-building of Csórompuszta is today the workshop of Magtárstúdió. In summer the parsonage turns into a gallery, where the works of contemporary artists are presented. The former castle of the Petrovics family is today a cultural centre and the home of the 'Pajta Diáktanya' ('Barn Students' quarters'). It receives children for camping and organizes the communal and cultural life of the village. Besides the events of the 'Valley of Arts' the village welcomes visitors for the programme on Easter Sunday called 'Haj liliom' which revives the folk customs of Petend. At Whitsun there are family programmes in the Tókert, in June visitors are welcome for the Village Day and patronal festival.
