Other information:

The Collection of Applied Folk Arts was opened in Kecskemét in 1984, in the former beer-house. In the more than 200-year old building of the protected monument permanent and temporary exhibitions await visitors who are interested in articles of folk art and handcraft. The impressive exhibitons present all the five main branches of applied folk art: carving, pottery, embroidery, weaving and small handcrafts. In the workshop of the museum simple handcraft techniques can be learnt using natural materials.
In the friendly inner court programmes preserving traditions can be seen on demand: presentation of crafts, folk music, tasting dishes made in the oven.
