Village with 744 inhabitants. It was built on the hills above the river Rába. It is known as the gate of Őrség. It was first mentioned in records before 1237. Entering the village you can see the Sigray park. The statue of count Sigray and the bronze dog was made by the sculptor, György Wastagh. Sights. the castle of Count Sigray with its large park. The church , which is a masterpiece of the Hungarian Art Nouveau was built according to plans by Antal Heindlich. He considered to be his model the church in Zebegény designed by Károly Kós. Museum of Local History was inaugurated in the year of the Millennium.
