in Kercaszomor:   Hotel

A one-street village with 280 inhabitants. A religious centre of Őrség region. The ruins of the oldest stone church (Pusztatemető) in county Vas can be found here, which was first mentioned in records in 1208. Its Protestant belfry is unique. The crown-post holding the bell was carved from a single oak trunk. In 1920 the village fought against the Serbian invaders, and it could remain inside the Trianon-border. This way it is deservedly called the "bravest village". The village attracts many visitors with its natural beauties, clean air, the baths nearby, the fishing lakes, tourist routes excellent for hiking and it offers real recreation for those who come by car or for tourists who like walking tours.
