A large 934-year-old village with 5,680 inhabitants on the Sebes-Körös. Visitors arriving from Szeged on national highway No. 47 are received by the sight of the magnificent building of the Calvinist church (1776). The Roman Catholic church was consecrated in 1822. Other sights include the mansion and the mausoleum of the Wenckheim family. Lajos Tüköry, the hero of the Italian War of Independence was born here. Tourists, anglers and hunters are attracted by the beautiful landscape.
