Village with 2,700 inhabitants and border crossing station to Pozsony (Bratislava or Pressburg). The 14th century Gothic Roman Catholic church was rebuilt in Baroque style in the 18th century. The late Baroque Lutheran church was built in 1784. The former Zichy mansion is late Baroque from 1806. The works of Austrian, Slovakian and Hungarian artists can be seen in the park of statues which was founded in 1992. Campsite, possibility of camping and water trips await visitors. |
