Village between Nagykőrös and Tiszakécske on the Kiskunság. Its history goes back to the the Mongol invasion of Hungary in 1241-42, at that time Kumans settled down here. Gothic church ruins can be seen in the Catholic grave-yard. The one time Dósa mansion houses a nursery school. today. Architectural remain is the Kutyakaparó csárda, which has been operating since the 1700s. The sodic pasture in the vicinity of the village is - due to its birds and flora - , a nature conservation area.
