in Nagyiván:

The village, with a population amounting to 1,278, is the western gateway of the Hortobágy. The unique treasures of the region include the Fata Morgana, the Cumanian mounds along the edges of the puszta and the nearby marshland. The region is especially rich in birds. The Nagyiván Rest House of the Hortobágy National Park, where an ethnographic collection can be seen, is on the outskirts of the village. The late baroque parish and the Roman Catholic church consecrated to Saint John the Baptist are in the centre of the village. Görbe csárda, the inn frequented, as tradition has it, also by Sándor Rózsa, the famous highwayman, is on the eastern side of the village. Outstanding events of the village include the Pentecost Feast and the parish feast with a market on Saint Iván's day.
