It is a village of 2,000 inhabitants near Monor. It has been an independent settlement since 1990.
In the middle of the forest you can find the ruins of a Gothic church from the 16th century, which is under national protection. The juniper grove of Csévharaszt is a highly protected nature conservation area, which is situated south of the village.
