Village with 2,750 inhabitants to the southeast of Budapest next to motorway M5. It was destroyed under the Turks and resettled by Antal Grassalkovich from 1764. The German traditions of the village, mainly inhabited by ethnic Germans, have been retained. Sights include the Village House, the Roman Catholic church and the Puszta Church. Permanent cultural events of the village include the ball of the ethnic Germans held on the second Saturday of February and the Village Day (first Sunday of June). Open-air mass at Mary chapel to be held on the end of May, and a church-ale on Sunday following October 20th. Christmas concert is held in December.
