The 50-year-old Cserkeszőlő is the tourist centre of 'Tiszazug' lying between the rivers Tisza and Körös. It is situated along the national highway No. 44, 120 km from Budapest, 50 km from Kecskemét and Szolnok. The surrounding villages of Tiszazug attract visitors with their untouched beauty, the village itself offers medicinal thermal water and a modern open bath for tourists of all ages. The thermal water of 82 °C coming from as deep as 2311 m is one of the hottest thermal waters of Hungary. It contains a high proportion of solved minerals which are suitable for curing rheumatic diseases, chronic rheumatism, injuries, gynaecological complaints based on experience of several decades. The bubble bath of 36-38 °C in the pools offers real relaxation for the nervous system. The medicinal baths, the swimming pools of pleasant temperature, as well as the new medical part are open all year round. From May to October the special pleasure bath, the wave bath , the swimming and teaching pools and pools for small children offer recreation for visitors. On request the bath is open at night for groups. For those who wish to recover or relax, accommodation is provided in the Touring Hotel and Thermal Camping run by the local council, where visitors can pay by holiday cheques. The 2-star Touring Hotel is connected to the bath by a closed corridor - the hotel prices include bath fees and breakfast. All the rooms are with a bathroom, a television, a refridgerator, and telephone. The hotel has rooms equipped for disabled people. The 3-star camping site which is connected with the bath await visitors with tents and caravans, and it offers fully equipped wooden houses with all conveniences. The prices include bath fees. In the surrounding villages you can go riding a horse, fishing, hunting, cycling, pleasure-boating.
