Village with 1,640 inhabitants in the region called Tiszahát. On the place of the one-time Kölcsey mansion there is the cultural centre of the village housing a Kölcsey Memorial Room. The tomb of the poet with a white marble column is in the village graveyard, famous for its boat-shaped wooden grave-posts. The beach and camping are popular landing-places for tours on the river Tisza.
