Village with 1,728 inhabitants downstream from Szolnok on the right bank of river Tisza. The site of the former fortress is indicated by a monument. The baroque Blessed Virgin Mary church and the late baroque and neo-Classical Calvinist church were built in 1728 and the 18th century respectively. There is a rest-house for local folk artists of crafts and arts.
