A small settlement with 1,739 inhabitants east of Debrecen at the Romanian border. Between 1812 and 1815 Ferenc Kölcsey lived and worked in the old, thatched living-house built at the end of the 18th century. The neo-Classical mansion is now Ferenc Kölcsey Memorial House. The other exhibition site of the village is the Mihály Mucsi's Smithery with a full range of tools and a display of his products, horseshoes, parts of carriages and ploughs. |
